Burning Ants 07:49
The self has fallen prey to the self, now you're burning ants just because you can. Where once before the lines were dim, you've let them thicken to box you in, and out went grace. Your grasp of humility puts Empedocles to shame, such fools to doubt the ego's power... The ego's power yeah, for all the talk, you bear the same mortality as those you mock and tread upon. You're unaware, unaware that you need the bottom to hold the top... to hold the top. Nailed to the want and need, for peasants to be thrown down at your feet. No time spare, you're too engaged in kissing mirrors and saving face; to face up to the common ground between you and the victims of your ego's power... The ego's power yeah, for all the talk, you bear the same mortality as those you mock and tread upon. You're unaware, unaware that you need the bottom to hold the top... to hold the top. (You ain't got nothing on me, nothing on me) As you look down from the height of your pedestal; to the ground below, and the distance sends a rush of blood to your head; how many open arms are there to break your fall? The ego's power yeah, for all the talk, you bear the same mortality as those you mock and tread upon. You're unaware, unaware that you need the bottom to hold the top... to hold the top.

R.L.D. 04:44
All memories are of memories, or born out of prompts. So I find it hard, find it hard to place you in time. I find it hard to place you. As distance grows, what i recall may become freyed, but there's a warmth, there's a warmth in the air, chasing the horizon. I won't lay you down, I don't build my towers on sand. Though debris will fall, you'll stay around. If the future stole the photographs, and our paths crossed again, i couldn't pick you out; pick your face out of the crowd, i couldn't pick you out. Change has taken hold of me, and you are standing still, but there's a warmth, there's a warmth in the air, chasing the horizon. I won't lay you down, I don't build my towers on sand. Though debris will fall, you'll stay around. Pictures tell a thousand words, but all I need is one. I won't lay you down, I don't build my towers on sand. Though debris will fall, you'll stay around. I won't lay you down, I don't build my towers on sand. Though debris will fall, you'll stay around.

Leech 02:27
I'm sick to the fucking teeth of you, and your friends. tossing blame like it's on fire, you can't face it being your fault in the end. You duck and dive, you run and hide from the truth, pointing fingers takes the pain away, but the burden's all on you. You're worse than a leech, you don't bite to feed... You take, take, take, take, take to keep from giving. You say it's dog eat dog and you've got the appetite, for the fight. But all you're doing is pulling at the stitches that are keeping your vitals intact. You don't see the contradiction in your thought, justifying your position in the system by means that will tear us apart. You're worse than a leech, you don't bite to feed... You take, take, take, take, take to keep from giving. You're worse than a leech, you don't bite to feed... You take, take, take, take, take...

Halos 06:19
Once I realised that I'd never be, that's the closest I'd come, the closest I'd come. I tore down the walls around the real me. I was bricks and stones, of fool's gold; crumbling under the wind, rusting in the rain. I couldn't practice the words that I preached. Halos are few and far between, in truth, they're not worth their weight, they take a big part of yourself - Halos. Found an opening, just like a thief, and sat there blowing smoke until the smoke blew me. spitting promises into dreams. And then it all came down, ripped it apart, so I made my peace, with the light and the dark, the light and the dark. Halos are few and far between, in truth, they're not worth their weight, they take a big part of yourself - Halos.

Spin 05:13
Shout for help, to find the pieces of the puzzle, there's no-one in sight to hear the call; they can't hear, hear at all. For there's good in the bad; why fix the problem when it plays into your hands? the more we kick and scream, the more they know we need them. I will be there for you, but it's all in vain. Just part of the push and pull for power gain. A point on the board, for popular words; but nothing will fruit, no nothing will fruit. So what's the score? 'Lo and behold, a clever change of focus, a shift of control. What was red, is now blue, what was cracked, now smooth. You see, there's no cause, there's no value to their values, no cut in their sword. It's all "me and my own", all dressed in gold. I will be there for you, but it's all in vain. Just part of the push and pull for power gain. A point on the board, for popular words; but nothing will fruit, no nothing will fruit. So what's the score? Who've we got to turn to when it's done? Who've we got to turn to when it's over?

Count all the hands, but miss out the ones that aren't raised. Fire up a witch-hunt, and sit there fanning the flames. Bad news makes big noise, so paint it black and cover your ears; with a cunning play on words. Take up the high ground, where it's easier to cast the stones. Poison the stream, and watch them sipping at the rivers below. Iron out the grey scale and pick and choose the black and white; proving that you were right. Oh to save the common man from his mistakes, we need, we need this despair. the people are alone and scared, do you see them? see them? the people are alone and scared, do you see them? see them?
